Toonami the premiere of One Piece on May 18th, starting at 1 a.m. The anime's return, which is being treated with great importance both for the network and for distributor FUNimation , which licenses the series in the United States, has been helping with publicity.
The anime will air from episode 207. One Piece will be shown in HD, but it will not be broadcast from the first episode, but from 207 (Great Adventure on the Long Road of the Long Land!) of the Davy Fight Back arc. According to Toonami , showing the anime from this point is ideal and will not hinder the understanding of the story for those who already follow it.
FUNimation will also make all older episodes of the series available through its website for those who want to catch up or better understand the plot. The distributor is also working on special summary chapters that will air later on Toonami.
