MapleStar reveals 2B animation from the anime Nier:Automata

Rafael Shinzo
My name is Rafael Alves, known as Shinzo. I created the AnimeNew website in 2009 to offer news about anime, manga, and games directly from Japan.

The anime inspired by the game NieR:Automata became a global success, even with the hiatuses caused by production problems. Now, the iconic character 2B, one of the series' protagonists, has received a new and "compromising" animation by animator Maplestar.

2B Nier:Automata MapleStar

The animation created by Maplestar impresses with its fluidity and richness of detail — a trademark of the artist, who is already well-known for this type of production. Since we cannot show the complete video here, you can watch the full animation by clicking on SOURCE at the end of the article.

Check out the comments:

  • The quality is far superior to any of their previous projects.
  • Good God, forgive me for what I am about to do.
  • Oh my God, I hadn't seen the account name and thought it was part of the original anime.
  • I told God I wouldn't stray from the path, but I'm not strong enough.
  • Mr. MapleStar is back to bring h3t@i animation back to its former glory.

Synopsis:

In the anime NieR:Automata, we follow the story of androids 2B, 9S, and A2 and their battle to reclaim the machine-dominated dystopia invaded by powerful machines.
Humanity was then expelled from Earth by mechanical beings from another world. In a final effort to reclaim the planet, the human resistance sends a force of android soldiers to destroy the invaders. Now, a war between machines and androids continues… A war that may soon reveal a long-forgotten truth about the world.

About Maplestar:

Therefore, this talented animator has been winning fans around the world with his animations aimed at a more mature audience. With a portfolio full of memorable characters, such as the enigmatic Makima from Chainsaw Man, the cunning Yor Forger from SPY x FAMILY, and the enchanting Marin Kitagawa from Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru, Maplestar has solidified his place as a leading artist in the contemporary animation scene

Despite some criticism of his decision to focus on creating animations of this genre, the recognition and popularity he has achieved in this segment is undeniable.

Finally, NieR :Automata was released for PlayStation 4 in Japan in 2017. Square Enix then released the game for PC in March 2017 and for Xbox One in June 2018.
