The official website for the anime Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story announced that the third and final season has been postponed to spring 2022 due to production issues.
The season was originally scheduled to premiere in late 2021.
The anime's story is inspired by a game from the franchise, which is a spin-off of the anime Puella Magi Madoka Magica , and takes place in the flourishing city of Kamihama. Guided by a strange power, magical girls gather in this city and fight with a new power extracted from witches. Iroha Tamaki arrives in this city and joins other magical girls to search for her missing younger sister, named Ui.
The second season of the anime premiered on the Japanese channels TOKYO MX , Tochigi TV , Gunma TV , and BS11 on July 31st.
