Pabllo Vittar will be the first Brazilian artist to take the stage of Crunchyroll Anime Awards, which takes place in Tokyo next Sunday, May 25. The drag queen and singer will present one of the categories of the ceremony, although the specific award has not yet been released by the organization of the event.

Pabllo Vittar's presence marks an unprecedented moment for Brazilian representation in the Japanese award, dedicated to the best anime of the year. Internationally recognized, the artist unites her musical trajectory with the passion for the universe of anime, which has been accompanying from childhood and to this day to this day aesthetics and sound.
Ancient passion for anime inspires career of Pabllo Vittar
Known for his activism and a solid career in pop music, Pabllo Vittar has released six studio albums, with over 60 singles and 50 music videos. Among the accumulated awards are two MTV Europe Music Awards and six MTV Millennial Awards Brazil. Despite the agitated routine, she never abandoned her taste for anime, who joined her artistic repertoire.
In preparation for the anime Awards, Pabllo Vittar shared five anime nominations available on Crunchyroll. The chosen titles include classics and recent productions:
- JoJo's Bizarre Adventure
- Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba
- Dragon Ball Z
- Hunter x Hunter
- Puella Magi Madoka Magica.
Everyone appears among fan favorites and reflect the bold visual style that also marks the artist's clips.
The list was released as a suggestion for the public to warm up to the awards, which will be broadcast live in 10 languages, including Brazilian Portuguese. The transmission will take place through Crunchyroll official channels on Twitch and YouTube, with pre-show from 5am and ceremony at 6am, in Brasília time.
Global awards will have artists from different countries
In addition to Pabllo Vittar, the event will feature international presences, such as Colombian singer J Balvin and Damiano David, singer of the Italian band Måneskin. Actors Finn Wolfhard and Gaten Matarazzo of the Stranger Things series will also participate in the ceremony, which reinforces the global reach of the anime industry.
Among the confirmed shows are the rock Flow band, the Creepy Nuts hip-hop duo and the Japanese singer Lisa. The programming reinforces the connection between music and animation, aspect also present in the works indicated to this year's awards, such as Dandadan, Frieren and the Journey to Beyond, Lighting Soil and Kaiju No. 8.
