The popular South Korean webtoon Overgeared will receive its long-awaited anime adaptation. The announcement was made by REDICE STUDIO, which confirmed the TV series titled Tempal: Item no Chikara (Tempal ~The Power of Items~). The premiere is scheduled for October of this year in Japan.

Based on the web novel by Park Saenal, the story follows Youngwoo Shin, a young man burdened with debt and lacking prospects in real life. However, everything changes when he enters the popular virtual reality game Satisfy and assumes the identity of Grid. Initially considered an ordinary player, he finds a book containing the lost knowledge of a legendary blacksmith, an event that completely redefines his path within the game.
The team includes well-known names
The anime will be directed by Ayako Konofilms Sword Art Online , while JC Staff will handle the animation. Production is being handled by EGG FIRM. Script supervision is by Kenta Ihara, who worked on titles such as Saga of Tanya the Evil and Uncle From Another World.

Furthermore, Yoshikazu Iwanami will handle sound direction, while Yoshiaki Fujisawa will compose the soundtrack. The music production will be supported by Pony Canyon.
Main cast revealed
Among the first confirmed names in the cast are Tatsumaru Tachibana, who will voice the protagonist Grid, and Asami Seto, cast to play Yura. Therefore, the webtoon, written by Lee Dong-Wook and illustrated by Team Argo, continues to be published and already has several volumes released internationally.
With its premiere scheduled for October, the adaptation aims to bring Grid's popular journey to an even wider audience.
