Fan poll reveals the top 10 anime villains

When it comes to anime, the presence of a captivating villain is a strong element in making the story more interesting. From romantic antagonists to menacing figures in shonen anime, villains play a crucial role in the heroes' journey. However, there are always those who stand out above the rest. Since this huge poll caught everyone's attention, fans have been voting to decide who the best anime villains are.

Through Twitter, the profile NORBOLOGY created this poll which included the participation of many otaku. After the poll gathered more than five million votes, the profile revealed the list of the best villains. According to the results, Toru Oikawa from Haikyuu came in first place, with more than 50% of the votes.

Although Oikawa isn't a villain in the traditional sense, he's an antagonist who has won over many Haikyuu fans. So, even competing with major villains like Makima and Sukuna , Oikawa came in first. As we look at the top 10 list, it's noticeable that the other villains who made it to the top also received a large number of votes.
