Teenager inspired by Fire Force helps contain a house fire in Japan

An 18-year-old Japanese teenager was honored by the Kagoshima City Central Fire Department on September 29 after reporting and helping contain the spread of a house fire.

Teenager Ouga Kawazu anime for his calm composure and quick thinking . Kawazu received an award in recognition, stating that he " watched an anime series with firefighters " and was therefore able to handle the situation calmly.

Kawazu was on his way to a convenience store in Uehonmachi on August 29th when he noticed a fire had started in the entrance of a two-story wooden house. Kawazu called 119 (the emergency number in Japan), then rang the doorbell and knocked on the door. It was almost midnight when the owner of the house, a 70-year-old woman who lived alone, answered the door. She was about to retire for the night when Kawazu arrived. She was then able to contain the fire herself.

While Kawazu did not specifically state which anime he watched, the popular anime Fire Force , by author Atsushi Ohkubo , seems to be the most likely candidate.
