Hiroyuki Seshita – Knights of Sidonia ( Sidonia no Kishi ) is the chief animation director for the film, Hiroaki Ando – Episodes of Knights of Sidonia ( Sidonia no Kishi ) is directing both films at Polygon Pictures studio. Hiroshi Seko (Attack on Titan) is supervising the script, Yuki Moriyama (Psycho-Pass, Bizarre Adventure JoJo: Stardust Crusaders) is working on the soundtrack.
The story follows a high school student named "Kei Nagai" who dies instantly in a traffic accident on his way home from school. However, he is revived, and a high price must be paid for it. New immortal life forms have begun to appear among humans, and they have become known as "Ajin" (demo-humans).
