The official website for the anime trilogy "Ajin," based on films by author Gamon Sakurai, has released a new promotional video. The video reveals the cast and also announces that the first film will be released in Japan in November of this year.
Hiroyuki Seshita – Knights of Sidonia (Sidonia no Kishi) is the chief animation director for the film, Hiroaki Ando – Episodes of Knights of Sidonia (Sidonia no Kishi) is directing both films at Polygon Pictures studio. Hiroshi Seko (Attack on Titan) is supervising the script, Yuki Moriyama (Psycho-Pass, Bizarre Adventure JoJo: Stardust Crusaders) is working on the soundtrack.
The story follows a high school student named "Kei Nagai" who dies instantly in a traffic accident on his way home from school. However, he is revived, and a high price must be paid for it. New immortal life forms have begun to appear among humans, and they have become known as "Ajin" (demo-humans).
The manga Ajin – Demi-Human began publication in 2012 in the magazine good! Afternoon. The sixth volume was released in May. In total, the manga has 3.2 million copies in circulation in Japan.
