The Academy released this week a list of 20 films that have been selected to compete for the Best Visual Effects award at the 92nd Academy Awards.
Among them, the film Alita: Battle Angel , by James Cameron, is in the running for the coveted statuette in the category. The academy will select the 10 films for voting at the end of this month.

The next edition of the Oscars will take place on February 9, 2020.
Finally, Alita: Battle Angel premiered in theaters in mid-February 2019, and its work is based on the manga by Yukito Kishiro.
The film was produced by James Cameron and Jon Landau and directed by Robert Rodriguez .
