This week, the academy released a list of 20 films that were selected to compete for the best visual effects award at the 92nd Academy Awards.
Among them, the film Alita: Battle Angel by James Cameron is in contention for the coveted statuette in the category. The academy will select the 10 films for voting later this month.

The new edition of the Oscars takes place on February 9, 2020.
Finally, Alita: Battle Angel, (in Portuguese: Alita: Battle Angel) premiered in theaters in mid-February 2019, as well as its work is based on the manga by Yukito Kishiro.
The film was produced by James Cameron and Jon Landau and directed by Robert Rodriguez .
