Amagi Brilliant Park , the new anime from Kyoto Animation, received a new promotional video at this year's Comiket event. The video, which showcases a snippet of the opening theme song titled " Extra Magic Hours" sung by AKINO, was presented during the panel. The series is scheduled to premiere in Japan on October 2nd.
Amagi Brilliant Park is an original work by the author Shoji Gatoh (Full Metal Panic), who was also responsible for the light novel.
The "slapstick drama" begins with the character Seiya Kanie, a high school boy, who is invited on a date to an amusement park by a beautiful and mysterious recent transfer student named Isuzu Sento. He is introduced to Ratifa, a "real" princess and manager of an amusement park, where he is invited to also become a manager of the amusement park in the suburbs of Tokyo.
The author Gatoh (Full Metal Panic!) began the Amagi Brilliant Park series with illustrations last year, with Bunko publishing the third volume released in January. Yasuhiro Takemoto, who directed Full Metal Panic, Lucky Star, and Hyoka, is directing this new anime.
