Amanchu! — an anime adapted from the manga by author Kozue Amano — has released its first promotional video. The series will have 13 episodes and will premiere in July of this year.
Junichi Sato (Sailor Moon, Princess Tutu, Aria the Animation) is the chief animation director, while Kenichi Kasai (Honey and Clover, Nodame Cantabile) is directing at JC Staff studio.
The story follows Amanchu!, which follows the members of a diving club in the city of Ito. The manga takes place at the same school and involves some characters from the manga Roman Club, also by Kozue Amano.
