Launching the spring season, the anime A Couple of Cuckoos (Kakkou no Iinazuke) premieres this Saturday (23), at 3pm, on Crunchyroll. The production is an adaptation of the manga published since 2020 in Weekly Shōnen Magazine, by publisher Kodansha. However, despite its success, the manga has not yet been published in Brazil.
The anime is produced by Shin-Ei Animation and Synergy SP studios and is directed by Yoshiyuki Shirahata. Meanwhile, the general management has Hiroaki Akagi as the main name. The manga is a work by Miki Yoshikawa, who has already written and illustrated titles such as Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches and Yankee-kun to Megane-chan .
Synopsis:
The manga's story revolves around the super dedicated 16-year-old student at Meguro River Academy, Nagi Umino. He was changed at the hospital shortly after birth. One day, while on his way to a dinner to meet his biological parents, he accidentally meets the bold and honest Erika Amano, who is determined to make Nagi her fake boyfriend, considering that she wants to never get married. But, upon arriving at the restaurant and meeting his parents, Nagi discovers that they want to make him marry their hospital-swapped daughter, raised by them in Nagi's place... who is – by chance – Erika herself!
Crunchyroll also announced that the anime A Couple of Cuckoos will also be available with a Portuguese dub a few weeks after its premiere .
