The AnimeNew team will once again be covering Anime Friends, participating in the 2023 edition. Our team will be present at the event from the 14th to the 16th at the Anhembi District in São Paulo. This year, the event promises to expand with more attractions than ever before, as it's its 20th anniversary. Check out the event's attractions on the website.
Anime Friends 2023 – 20th Anniversary Special

To celebrate its 20th anniversary, Anime Friends 2023 has scheduled a program with various international and national artists and games for the public. The event starts on Thursday (July 13th) and runs until Sunday (July 16th). In addition, the event features cosplay competitions, music, dance, and an Artist's Alley for various artists to showcase their work.
Friday (July 14th)
The main stage will feature performances by the band Wasabi, rapper Vmz, and several international anime such as Asca, Who-ya Extended, Sennarin, Nano, and Akino with the band bless4. Meanwhile, the cosplay zone stage will feature violinist Yurika. The Ultra Auditorium will have special panels called "Female Power in Tokusatsu" and "The Triforce of Tokusatsu." Finally, the voice actor couple Fernando Mendonça and Lucas Gama will also have a panel to discuss dubbing the anime Given.
Saturday (July 15th)
Senpai Old School, Yuyu20, DJ Sidney Scaccio, Real Akira Boys, Survive Said the Prophet, and Burnout Syndromes will perform on the main stage. Panini Comics will have a presence in the cosplay zone. The Ultra Author stage will feature more panels about the Tokusatsu world with Brazilian voice actors and the Japanese actors from the series. Following that, Wendel Bezerra will also have a presentation on this stage. Finally, the K-POP arena will host the Maru Dance Challenge solo and NoraePOP competitions.
Sunday (July 16th)
On the final day, the main stage will feature performances by the international bands SCANDAL and FLOW. The publisher New Pop will have a presence in the cosplay zone. In addition to showcasing Tokusatsu, the Ultra Auditorium will host a panel on the dubbing of One Piece and a presentation by voice actor Guilherme Briggs. Finally, the K-POP arena will host the Maru Dance Challenge group competitions.
