The highly anticipated spiritual successor to Senki Zesshou Symphogear now has a name and a release date! The anime “Ghost Concert: Missing Songs” is scheduled to premiere in 2026. However, the series promises to kick off a new “ Song Battle Series ” — a franchise centered on intense and emotional musical battles.
Produced by Ariya Entertainment , the project features music entirely composed by the legendary group Elements Garden , known for hits like Symphogear and BanG Dream!. Animation will be handled by studio ENGI . Additionally, Norio Agematsu (creator of Symphogear) is the original author. Masato Jinbo is directing and composing the series, and Masaaki Uiigawa for character design.

Synopsis
The story takes place in 2045 , in a world where singing is forbidden. In this setting, the protagonist Seria Aiba (voiced by Mitoko Fujidera ) was born with the gift of seeing and touching spirits. Her life changes when she is possessed by Cleopatra (played by Rina Hidaka ), one of the legendary "Great Ghosts" freed from the afterlife.
Thus, the visual teaser highlights Sereia and Cleopatra side by side. The first PV teaser , already available on YouTube, features the song “ RES∞NALIST ”. It is described as a “song of possession and rebirth” symbolizing the spirit of the series.
Additionally, the full video of the “Ghost Concert Project Presentation ,” which revealed the cast and crew, is available as an archive. Finally, fans can check out all the details of the announcement.
