The anime adaptation of the novel and manga Kumo desu ga, Nani ka? ( free translation: I'm a Spider, so what? ) will debut in January 2021 . The animation's official website also revealed a new visual for the anime.
The anime was originally scheduled to premiere this year, but due to the new coronavirus ( COVID-19 ), production was heavily affected.
Crunchyroll -licensed anime will air for two consecutive runs ( 6 months ).
Voice actress Aoi Yuki (Tsuyu Asui in Boku no Hero and Tanya Degurechaff in Saga of Tanya the Evil) will star in the anime, voicing the protagonist Kumoko !

Synopsis
The novel tells the story of a world where a hero and the demon king are locked in a constant dispute. The absurd magic used in their battles crosses over into another world, and blows up a classroom, killing all the students. Students are reincarnated into a fantasy world. However, the protagonist, who had the lowest position in the class, was reincarnated as a one-meter monster spider. But she accepts this fate and adapts to her new life quickly. The story follows the protagonist as she survives in this new world.
