The anime Rent-A-Girlfriend (Kanojo, Okarishimasu), based on the manga by Reiji Miyama, has released its first promotional video, introducing the story of the romantic comedy.

The video showcases Shun Horie's Japanese voice acting as Kazuya Kinoshita for the first time, but also highlights Sora Amamiya as Chizuru Mizuhara and the anime's opening theme song "Sentimental" by the band The Peggies.

The website also announced that a live stream will be held to celebrate the anime's premiere on July 10th. The live stream will feature the four main voice actresses on June 13th at 7:00 AM. Kazuomi Koga is directing the anime at TMS Entertainment, Mitsutaka Hirota is supervising the script, Minoru Akiba is the art director, Kanna Hirayama is doing the character design, and HYADAIN is composing the anime's music.

The singer halca performs the ending theme song. Both The Peggies and halca created original songs specifically for the anime.

Synopsis of the manga

In Japan, lonely people have a new outlet… Online services for renting parents, children, and even girlfriends! When Kazuya's true love rejects him, he becomes desperate enough to try it, and he's shocked by how cute and caring his rental girlfriend is. But she wants to keep their "relationship" a secret, and there's a complication… she's going to university… and her grandmothers are neighbors?! In short, Kazuya discovers that she's not at all friendly in "real life.".

Furthermore, Reiji Miyajima's Rent-A-Girlfriend manga has been published by Kodansha in Weekly Shonen Magazine since July 2017, and currently has 14 volumes.
