Crunchyroll will be live-streaming the Anime Awards 2025 next Sunday, May 25th. The ceremony celebrates the best in Japanese animation and has recognized great titles throughout previous editions. Among the most awarded, Jujutsu Kaisen leads the way with a total of 24 wins.

Following in the ranking, Demon Slayer has 20 awards and Attack on Titan has 16. The three anime have dominated the last few seasons, accumulating trophies in categories such as best direction, animation, and voice acting performances in various languages.

Jujutsu Kaisen is the greatest winner in history
Jujutsu Kaisen has surpassed the mark of two dozen awards, solidifying its position as the main highlight of the awards ceremony. In 2024 alone, it won 11 trophies, including Anime of the Year, Best Direction, Character Design, and Best Opening. Studio MAPPA produced the second season, which earned recognition for its technical and narrative excellence.
The character Satoru Gojo earned wins in the categories of Best Supporting Character and voice performances in Japanese, French, and Portuguese. The awards recognized the ending theme "Akari," which reinforced the audiovisual impact of the production. In 2023, the jury chose the feature film Jujutsu Kaisen 0 as Best Film, highlighting the performances in German, European Spanish, and Italian.

In previous years, the anime had already been chosen as Anime of the Year in 2021 and won categories such as Best Fight Scene, Best Antagonist, and Best Voice Performance in several languages. These multiple wins demonstrate the continued popularity of the work among critics and audiences alike.
Demon Slayer remains a fan favorite
With 20 awards accumulated, Demon Slayer remains one of the most acclaimed anime of today. In 2024, the Blacksmith Village arc won for Best Animation, Art Direction, and Fantasy Anime. Studio Ufotable stood out for its striking visual scenes and detailed world-building.
The previous season, which aired in 2023, yielded four other awards, including Best Direction, Best Action Anime, and Best Performance in Latin American Spanish. The refined visuals of the Entertainment District arc also earned awards for designer Akira Matsushima.

In 2022, the anime won in important categories such as Best Film, Soundtrack, and Ending Theme. The Mugen Train film was also recognized for its French, Russian, and Spanish dubbing. In 2020, it won the Anime of the Year award, with particular emphasis on Tanjiro and Nezuko's fight against Rui.
Attack on Titan rounds out the awards podium
Ranked third, Attack on Titan has garnered 16 awards at the Crunchyroll Anime Awards. In 2024, it won in the Best Soundtrack category with The Final Chapters Special 1, produced by MAPPA studio. The music remains one of the series' strong points.
The previous year, they won six trophies. Among them were Best Main Character for Eren Jaeger, Best Japanese Performance, and Best Drama Anime. The song "The Rumbling" also received recognition, as did the soundtrack composed by Kohta Yamamoto and Hiroyuki Sawano.

The final season had already won Anime of the Year in 2022, when Eren was chosen as Best Antagonist. The opening themes and voice acting have also been awarded in previous years, including Lucas Almeida's performance in the 2021 Brazilian dub.
Attack on Titan began its winning streak in 2019 and has maintained a consistent presence at awards ceremonies ever since. The evolving plot and complex characters keep the series among the favorites of critics and audiences alike.
