Previously scheduled to premiere on July 31, 2015, Ant-Man has now been brought forward a few weeks and is set to premiere on July 17, 2015.
The change may have been made due to the film Batman vs. Superman, which was supposed to debut on July 17th, until its date was changed to May 6th, 2016.
In the movie, Michael Douglas will be scientist Hank Pym, the original Ant-man, who moves to Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) his powers. In comics Scott is a criminal who steals the technology of Pym and then becomes Ant-Man , after PYM Lang 's intentions were good, he ends up passing the hero's uniform.
