Bandai Namco Entertainment America announced on Wednesday the release date for the game Sword Art Online: Last Recollection on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.

The game's release date is therefore set for October 6th of this year .
However, the game will launch in Japan on October 5th. The company released a trailer previewing the game's theme song, "VITA," by singer ReoNa

In addition, the singer's YouTube channel released a full version of the song and trailer:
SAO: Last Recollection will feature its own version of the War of Underworld arc, different from the original light novel series or even the anime. The team promises that the game will feature the largest roster of characters in the franchise.
Sword Art Online: Progressive – Aria of a Starless Night, the first anime film in the “Sword Art Online -Progressive-” film series, premiered in Japan in October 2021.
Sword Art Online -Progressive- Scherzo of Deep Night, the second film, was scheduled to premiere on September 10th, but it only premiered on October 22nd after a delay.
It's worth remembering that the franchise will be receiving a "new original film project".
