The official website for Assault Lily has just revealed that due to the COVID-19 , the new anime in the franchise will be postponed until October .
Previously, the anime was planned for release in July , but the postponement was necessary to protect the health of the cast.
Synopsis: On Earth, in the near future, humanity faces imminent destruction from mysterious giant creatures known as "Huges." The entire world unites against the "Huges" and successfully develops weaponry known as "CHARM" (Counter Huge Arms), combining science and magic. CHARM exhibits high synchronization rates with teenage girls, and the girls who wield CHARM are seen as heroes called "Lilies." Throughout the world, military academies called "Gardens" are created to train Lilies to confront the "Huges" and serve as bases to protect and guide the people. This is, therefore, a story about girls who aspire to become Lilies within these gardens.
Shouji Saeki is directing the Assault Lily in conjunction with studio SHAFT . Mieko Hosoi is the character designer. Keita Nagahara is the assistant director. Kazuya Shiotsuki is the secondary character designer and also serves as animation director alongside Sota Suwa .
