Broadcaster NHK act-age author Tatsuya Matsuki (29) was arrested on suspicion of sexually harassing a middle school student.
According to NHK, police reported that the girl was walking in the Nakano area of Tokyo on June 18 at 8pm when the suspect approached her from behind and touched her inappropriately. After that, the suspect fled.
The girl went to the police, who analyzed the security camera video to investigate. Police learned from the video that about an hour later, a similar incident happened on a nearby street with another student, involving the suspect who resembled Matsuki.
According to police, Matsuki told police “there is nothing wrong” with her accusations.
