Battlefield 6 entered the market with full force as soon as pre-orders were released, immediately taking the lead among the best-selling games on Steam. In less than a week, the new title in the franchise surpassed heavyweights like Counter-Strike 2 and Grounded 2, accumulating more than 500,000 additions to the platform's wishlist.

With a concept that revives classic elements from the series' most beloved titles, Battlefield 6 is winning over the community even before its official release. The reveal trailer, released on July 24th, played a key role in this impact, reigniting the excitement of a fanbase that had been waiting for a return to its roots.

Focus on modern warfare rekindles fan interest

One of the main reasons for Battlefield 6's immediate success on Steam is its return to the modern military setting. After titles that focused on futuristic technologies and alternative approaches, the franchise decided to listen to its audience and recapture the atmosphere that made Battlefield 3 and 4 so successful. The result was immediate: nostalgia combined with the expectation of a more raw and realistic experience put the game back in the spotlight.

Furthermore, the darker visuals and more serious tone presented in the trailer reinforce this change of direction. DICE, the series' developer, seems to have abandoned attempts at reinvention to focus on improving what has already worked in the past. The proposal of a denser narrative and intense confrontations has especially pleased veteran players of the saga.

Release date and details of the open beta

Battlefield 6 is scheduled for a global release on October 10, 2025, with confirmed versions for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. To date, Electronic Arts has not announced early access for any of the editions, indicating that all players will be able to start simultaneously.

For those curious about the gameplay, an open beta phase is scheduled to take place over two weekends in August. This will be the public's first opportunity to experience the mechanics and test the multiplayer modes before the official release. Expectations are high, as many believe this test version will be crucial in building confidence in the game.

Available editions and pre-order bonuses

Battlefield 6 is now available for pre-order in two different versions: Standard Edition for R$299.00 and Phantom Edition for R$429.00. Both versions include the Tombstone pack, with rewards such as the Gravedigger skin, Hatchet weapon kit, cosmetic items, and XP bonuses.

Unlike previous editions of the franchise, the Phantom Edition does not offer early access. However, those who opt for the Standard Edition can upgrade later by paying the difference. This flexibility has pleased many players, who can now invest in the basic version and decide later if they want the extras.
