Let's take a look at our first impressions at the start of the season. Contrary to popular belief, Black Bullet really surprised me with its debut episode. The science fiction genre has always attracted me in large and small productions, including anime, cinema, games, etc.
Directed by Kojima Masayuki (Abenobashi Mahō Shōtengai), the anime contains a simple narrative, but with a story that attracts the attention of otakus of the genre. Black Bullet takes place in 2021, a perhaps near future, where in fact the beings of the human race were defeated by a species of viral parasites, known as Gastrea, they were all exiled to a small territory and live in total despair.
With this premise we are introduced to the boy with skills in breastfeeding and physical fighting, more like a detective, Rentaro , a smart young man, member of “Civil Security”, a large organization specialized in fighting the little Gastreas monsters. Located near the city of Tokyo where it is used to complete several Hard level missions.
In the second act of the anime we are introduced to his work partner, the agitated little girl Aihara Enju, the famous cursed girl. While the duo splits up to fight these monsters, at the same time Rentaro has to deal with everyday situations to raise the innocent Enju , practically becoming a father to her. With pleasant features and animations, Black Bullet leaves nothing to be desired for a first season opening episode. A story that involves Action, Demons, Horror, Martial Arts, Novel, Seinen, Science Fiction, I recommend everyone to waste their sacred 24 minutes to follow this new saga.
