anime adaptation of the manga Mugen no Juunin ( Blade of the Immortal ) has received new information, including the main cast and production team, as well as a new visual poster and trailer.
“Manji is an immortal swordsman, cursed with eternal life. He grew weary of living with all the death he created. He has no other skills besides killing, and he devises a plan to regain his mortality: he must kill one hundred bad men for every good man he has killed. The old witch who bestowed immortality upon Manji agrees to his proposal, and Manji sets out to find a thousand bad men. On his journey, he meets a young woman, Rin, who seeks her own revenge against the members of the swordsman school who murdered her family. Rin and Manji travel together, both searching for peace. Along their path are various and varied enemies. Rin and Manji are almost constantly under attack and must learn to live their lives without being consumed by vengeance.”
Directed by Hiroshi Hamasaki Liden Films studio , the anime premieres this October on Amazon Prime Video. Makoto Fukami is in charge of the series' scripts, Shingo Ogiso is responsible for character design, while Eiko Ishibashi composes the music.
Manji and Rin are voiced by Kenjiro Tsuda and Ayane Sakura , respectively.
