This week, the new trailer for Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War , showing what we can expect in part two of the anime. Spoiler alert : The trailer also indicates that Shinji Hirako will reveal his Bankai , which was never used in the anime or manga.
Bleach – Anime trailer hints at a new Bankai

Shinji Hirako is the captain of the 5th division of the Gotei 13 of Soul Society , and he also possesses a Bankai, as do the other captains. However, Shinji never revealed it in the previous Bleach arcs or in the original manga. While never mentioned in the main series, Shinji's Bankai is canon, as it appears in the light novel Bleach: Can't Fear Your Own World .
This Bankai is called Sakasama Yokoshima Happō Fusagar and has the power to disorient opponents, forcing them to fight each other. However, Shinji was forbidden from using his Bankai, as it can also affect allies. So this will be the first time he reveals his power in the anime beyond the light novel.
Synopsis:
Shortly after a series of Hollow murders and disappearances in the Rukongai district, Ichigo and his friends discover that the Quincy are indeed alive. To jog their memory, the Quincy are a supernatural order of humans who can manipulate reishi and kill Hollows instead of purifying them like the Soul Society. Everyone believed the Gotei 13 exterminated these enemies 1,000 years ago, but the Quincy remained in hiding, awaiting the return of their king, Yhwach.
Finally, Tomohisa Taguchi ( Twin Star Exorcists , Kino's Journey – The Beautiful World , Akudama Drive ) is replacing Noriyuki Abe to direct the anime at Studio Pierrot. Masashi Kudo is returning as character designer, while Shiro Sagisu is returning to compose the music.
