The new season of the anime Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War has had its premiere date revealed. According to reports, the series will premiere on October 10th in Japan, with the first two episodes being shown ahead of schedule at a franchise event on September 11th.
Thus, we have the opening theme called "Scar" sung by Kitani Tatsuya and the ending theme "Saihate" by SennaRin.
Tomohisa Taguchi is replacing Noriyuki Abe to direct the anime at Studio Pierrot, while Masashi Kudo is returning as character designer and Shiro Sagisu is returning to compose the music.
It's worth noting that among the voice actors are some who didn't appear in the anime, but are reprising their roles from the game Bleach: Brave Souls.
The Thousand Year Blood War arc is therefore the concluding arc of the Bleach manga, written by mangaka Tite Kubo, covering volumes 55-74.
Synopsis:
Following a series of Hollow murders and several disappearances in the Rukongai district, it is revealed that the Quincy were actually alive. The Quincy, to jog their memory, are an order of human reishi-manipulating mediums who kill Hollows instead of purifying them like the Soul Society. It is thought that they were killed en masse by the Society 1000 years ago, with the exception of the Ishida family.
Author Tite Kubo launched the Bleach manga in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in 2001, and concluded it in August 2016.
