fans Bleach have always rooted for the Ichigo and Rukia , and it seems that this support continues to this day. Michelle Ruff, Rukia's American voice actress, said that she loves this support among fans, but doesn't see the characters' interaction as romantic.

After the voice actress saw how strong the ship between Ichigo and Rukia is for some fans, she commented on her Twitter (X) her opinion on the matter. She then revealed that she sees the characters' relationship more as a friendship than a romance.

"Ichigo and Rukia have great chemistry. I always thought of it as more like a brother/sister relationship. But hey, we all have our opinions, and none of them are wrong."

Although there was a strong desire for the protagonist to end up with Rukia, the manga revealed that Ichigo ended up marrying Orihime in the end. Furthermore, Rukia also started her own family with Abarai Renji.

Synopsis:

Shortly after a series of Hollow murders and several disappearances in the Rukongai district, Ichigo and his friends discover that the Quincies were actually alive. The Quincies, to jog their memory, are a kind of supernatural human who can manipulate reishi and kill Hollows instead of purifying them like the Soul Society. Everyone believed that the Gotei 13 exterminated these enemies 1000 years ago, but the Quincies remained hidden, waiting for the return of their king, Yhwach.
