The live-action of BLUE LOCK has released a new trailer and confirmed more cast members. Actress Mei Hata will play Anri Teieri , reinforcing the adaptation of the sports manga created by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and Yusuke Nomura.
In addition, the main cast features popular young actors. Fumiya Takahashi plays Yoichi Isagi, while Kaito Sakurai portrays Meguru Bachira. Other highlights include Masataka Kubota as Jinpachi Ego and K, from the group &TEAM, as Seishiro Nagi.
The film is directed by Yusuke Taki and written by Tetsuo Kamata. It is produced by CREDEUS and distributed by TOHO. It is scheduled to premiere on August 7th in Japanese theaters.

Based on the manga published by Kodansha since 2018, Blue Lock follows a radical project to create the perfect striker after Japan's elimination from the World Cup. The work won the Best Shonen award in 2021.
Blue Lock's success grew with the anime adaptation released in 2022, followed by a second season in 2024. The series will also get a third season, adapting the New Hero Wars arc.
Furthermore, the spin-off Episode Nagi received a film in 2024, further expanding the franchise's reach.
