Synopsis:

The story begins with Japan's elimination from the 2018 FIFA World Cup, prompting the Japan Football Union to launch a program to search for high school players who will begin training for the 2022 World Cup. Isagi Yoichi , a striker, receives an invitation to this program shortly after his team lost the chance to go to the Nationals because he passed to his less skilled teammate – who failed – without trying to score the decisive goal himself.

Their coach will be Ego Jinpachi , who intends to "end Japan's failed football" by introducing a radical new training regime: isolating 300 young strikers in a prison-like institution called "Blue Lock" and putting them through rigorous training with the goal of creating "the best striker in the world."

Finally, the work has been published since August 2018 by Kodansha . Thus, the last two volumes published by the publisher were the 11th in October 2020, followed by the 12th in December. The work has surpassed the 3 million copies in circulation mark, including digital copies.
