With a release date set for June 19, 2025, chapter 23 of Boruto Two Blue Vortex had its cover revealed ahead of time through leaks on social media. The artwork highlights Jura, leader of the Divine Trees, taking center stage in the narrative.

Anticipation for the chapter increased after the title and the villain's never-before-seen design were revealed, suggesting he's poised to dominate the manga's upcoming events.

Jura dominates the cover of Boruto Two Blue Vortex with an imposing pose and menacing atmosphere

The leaked image reveals Jura in absolute focus, in an unusual pose reminiscent of the classic style of characters from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. The villain appears with his body leaning forward, one arm on his hip and the other hanging by his leg, while he stares at his target with a slight smile. The visual composition features shades of green and turquoise, reinforcing the mysterious atmosphere surrounding the entity known as the Human Divine Tree.

Despite the new artwork, there were no changes to the character's original design. Thus, this suggests that the focus is less on physical transformation and more on the escalation of his narrative presence. Jura had already been the focus of another cover in chapter 8, but the new version indicates an evolution in the role he plays in the main conflict of the work.

This chapter could intensify the fight between Boruto and Jura

Besides the cover, spoilers indicate that chapter 23 will continue the intense battle between Boruto and Jura, which began earlier in the Land of Wind. In the last chapter, the protagonist used his Uzuhiko Rasengan, but realized that the attack had no effect on the villain. Kashin Koji's reaction, who observes the fight closely, raises doubts about Boruto's true ability to face an enemy with such power.

The highlighted text on the leaked cover, "Furious Demon Driven by Curiosity," reinforces the idea that Jura is not only seeking power, but also answers or knowledge, which makes him even more unpredictable. The chapter title, "Strong Person," could refer to both Jura and Boruto himself, suggesting a clash where both measure their strength and convictions.

A direct continuation of the mission in the Land of the Wind

The plot continues in the Land of Wind, where Jura has appeared to capture Matsuri and Ryu's Soul Thorns. However, he has shown a greater interest in confronting Boruto, indicating that the clash goes beyond a simple mission. The narrative should continue to delve deeper into this new conflict, while other characters like Koji cautiously observe the unfolding events.

Focusing on the villain's development could change the dynamics of the saga

By placing Jura in the spotlight for the second time, Boruto: Two Blue Vortex seems to be investing in building a more complex and present villain. This marks a change of pace compared to the first chapters, where the protagonism was clearly divided among several characters. Now, with Boruto facing an opponent who appears to be one step ahead, the story may enter a new, darker and more mature phase.
