An 11-year-old boy in the US says he managed to fight off and survive an attack by approximately 400 bees. He said he did so by channeling the willpower of a character from his favorite cartoon: the anti-hero Vegeta from "Dragon Ball Z".

According to an interview with a local Arizona newspaper, the young man, named Andrew Kunz, and a friend were shooting at a rusty car with an air rifle. Nearby was a hive of Africanized bees inside the car, after which a swarm attacked the boy. During the attack, Andrew Kunz thought of the power-focusing technique used by Vegeta to face powerful enemies like Frieza and Cell.
“I’m Andrew, but you can call me Vegeta,” he told a local TV network. “ I survived 400 stings! ”
