Among the highlights is a new scene involving the Magic Knights captains invading the Spade Kingdom castle, added specifically to enhance the story's visual impact.
The production focuses on action and fast pace
The premiere episode of Black Clover also featured one of the most talked-about moments during the screening: Mereoleona Vermillion, which drew applause from the audience at Anime Expo. Furthermore, the direction utilizes dynamic camera movements and more elaborate combat scenes to highlight the production's evolution.
When is Black Clover returning?
The sequel returns to TV in October 2026 on Crunchyroll , picking up the events immediately following the Spade Kingdom, wasting no time. However, the new season retains the animation from Studio Pierrot, responsible for the original series and the film Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King. Tanemura is already familiar with the franchise, having participated in the first series and directed the feature film.
Finally, the first television adaptation ended its run in March 2021 with 170 episodes.
