The second season of the anime Black Clover received a new promotional video this Sunday, featuring a preview of the opening theme song “Kienai Riyū”, performed by the band WANIMA. The material premiered during Anime Expo 2026 and highlights the return of the franchise after years without new episodes.

The new season premieres in October on TV Tokyo and will continue to follow Asta's journey in his quest to become the Wizard King. In addition to the new opening sequence, the video reinforces the production of the sequel, which marks the return of important names involved in the series' previous success.
Ayataka Tanemura, who directed the final episodes of the first series and the film Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King, will direct the new season. Studio Pierrot returns to handle the animation, while Crunchyroll will stream the anime internationally.
The manga began its publication in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2015 and, since 2023, has been released in Jump Giga. MANGA Plus and Viz Media currently handle digital distribution.
The first television adaptation concluded its run in March 2021 with 170 episodes. Since then, the franchise has released the film Sword of the Wizard King in 2023.
