The anime Suikoden: The Anime has received a new promotional video that revealed more cast members and the series' opening theme song. The song "Kanashimi Sae Otonabite" will be performed by the band amazarashi, marking another step in the adaptation based on the story of Suikoden II , one of Konami 's most popular RPGs .
In addition to the new trailer, the production confirmed three important characters for the plot. Jin Yamanoi will voice King Agares Blight, while Miyuki Sawashiro will play Anabelle, leader of the Jowston Alliance. Kōdai Sakai will be responsible for Jess, the vice-mayor of Muse City. The first three episodes will also have special screenings in ten Japanese cinemas starting August 21, 2026.
Synopsis
The story follows Riliu and his friend Jowy, members of the Young Unicorn Brigade. After years of conflict between the Kingdom of Highland and the City-States of Jowston, a peace agreement seems to end the war. However, hidden tensions continue to grow and threaten to plunge the region into a new confrontation.
Directed by Yuzo Satō at KONAMI animation studio , the anime will premiere in October on Japanese television. The series will also receive a manga adaptation illustrated by Kochiya, which will begin publication in Comic Dengeki DaiohG magazine on July 27.
Finally, the script is overseen by Michihiro Tsuchiya, while Kōji Nakamura is responsible for the soundtrack.
