It was revealed by Sunrise's official website that Buddy Complex titled Buddy Complex: Kanketsuhen – Ano Sora ni Kaeru Mirai de (Buddy Complex Finale: In the Future When We Return to Those Skies), will premiere in October.
The story will revolve around the events of the first part of the series.
The first series ended with the information that the story would continue; however, it has not yet been confirmed whether this new anime will be a second anime series or have another format, with some sources stating that it will be a special divided into two parts.
The story of the first season revolves around the friendship and coming-of-age of two boys. It begins with Aoba Watase, a boy who goes to school in Tokyo and lives a carefree daily life. At his school's opening ceremony after summer vacation, he goes to campus as usual, but has a chance encounter with another boy. The other boy's name is Jyunyou Dio Weinberg. This encounter will soon alter the fate of the world.
