With its premiere approaching, the official website for Bukiyou na Senpai (My Awkward Senpai) released a new trailer that finally confirms the anime's release date.

The anime My Awkward Senpai (Bukiyou na Senpai) will premiere on October 2, 2025. It is directed by Ayumu Kotake (Acro Trip) at the animation studio Elle.
Bukiyou na Senpai Synopsis:
"Kannawa-senpai is many things, but she's certainly not a cool girl. Then, she meets Kamegawa, her new kouhai. He's cute, a little nerdy, and easy to talk to. How will this clumsy senpai deal with these new feelings?!"
Therefore, Bukiyou is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Makoto Kudo. The story began as a webcomic published on Kudo's Twitter account in March 2019. It was later serialized in Square Enix's seinen manga magazine Young Gangan in December 2019.
