This Friday (6), Capcom announced during the Summer Game Fest 2025, the game new Resident Evil 9: Requiem with a trailer. However, fans can already note the release date.
In the teaser, Capcom even played with the audience's anticipation, alternating iconic scenes from older games, as if the reveal would take a while. But Capcom presented the new title just 30 minutes after the start of the event, much to the audience's excitement.
Therefore, Resident Evil 9: Requiem will be directed by Koshi Nakanishi, a big name within Capcom and responsible for successes such as Resident Evil 7: Biohazard and Revelations. In 2024, he had already hinted that he was involved in a new project for the franchise.
However, before the official release, fans will be able to try a playable demo of Requiem at Gamescom 2025, which takes place in August in Cologne, Germany.
