Kodansha and Flag Pictures announced on Monday that the Work ! live-action film adaptation .

Hid e ki Takeuchi is directing the film, with a script by Yuichi Tokunaga.

Akane Shimizu launched the Cells at Work! manga. in the March 2015 issue of Kodansha 's Monthly Shonen Sirius , and ended in January 2021.

The first season premiered in July 2018. The second season premiered in January 2021, alongside the spin-off anime Cells at Work! CodeBlack.

Synopsis

AE3803 is a red blood cell (red blood cell) with the mission of making deliveries throughout the body in which it lives. She is very clumsy, and keeps getting lost in the blood vessels. Through her eyes, we are introduced to the inner workings of the human body, especially when it comes to blood flow. Unfortunately, the days are not always peaceful, and she always ends up running into U-1146, a white blood cell obsessed with her job: killing invading germs.
