2014 looks set to be another banner year for gaming , perhaps because it could signal a significant shift in the way people play.
This could be the year that virtual reality establishes itself as a popular way to play, at least in Europe and the US.
According to the BBC Valve will announce a software development kit at Steam Dev Days , which begins on January 15th, according to Brian Coomer.
Now it remains to be seen who will produce it, Oculus (creator of the rift ), which already works with Valve or Sony, which is also entering the fray.
