The team returns to the Assassin's Arc
Tatsuya Yoshihara returns to direct after helming Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc . Hiroshi Seko wrote the screenplay, while Kensuke Ushio composed the soundtrack. Kazutaka Sugiyama remains as character designer, accompanied by an expanded team of artists responsible for secondary visuals and demons.
Among the production highlights are Kiyotaka Oshiyama in the design of the demons, Yasushi Nagura as sound director, and art directors Yusuke Takeda and Taku Munemasa. The new arc will once again be produced by MAPPA studio.
Success drives new adaptation
The franchise is experiencing a period of strong expansion following the release of Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc, which premiered in Japanese theaters in September 2025. The film topped the box office in its opening weekend and subsequently achieved good results in North America and several international markets.
Created by Tatsuki Fujimoto, the manga began publication in 2018 in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. Currently, the work has over 30 million copies in circulation and continues publication with its second part, which began in 2022.
