Firstly, it is worth mentioning that the manga work recently returned with a bang, on July 12th! Thus, editor Shihei Lin recently confirmed that the number of readings on the Shonen Jump Plus service exceeded 2.5 million in less than 24 hours on the day of its return!
On the other hand, author Fujimoto began publishing the Chainsaw Man manga in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in December 2018, finishing the first part in December 2020. In fact, it is also worth mentioning that this year 2022, we will have an anime adaptation of the work!

Synopsis
The story takes place in a world where demons are born from human fears. Although they are generally dangerous and malevolent, humans can form contracts with demons to use a portion of their power. Denji is a depressed young man who is trying to pay off his late father's debt to the yakuza by selling several of his organs and working as a demon hunter. Denji also possesses a dog-like demon named Pochita, who resembles a chainsaw and assists Denji in his work.
