Currently, the information is still pending, as the leak did not provide many details about the announcement. However, the chances of the 2nd season being announced are high with the arrival of Anime Expo on July 1st. Furthermore, if the rumor is right, something about the supposed film could also come to light at the event.
Synopsis:
The story takes place in a world where demons are born from human fears. Although they are generally dangerous and malevolent, humans can form contracts with demons to use a portion of their power. Denji is a depressed young man who is trying to pay off his late father's debt to the yakuza by selling several of his organs and working as a demon hunter. But Denji also has a small pet demon called Pochita, who helps him in his work.
Therefore Tatsuki Fujimoto launched the manga in Weekly Shonen Jump in December 2018, ending the first arc in December 2020 with 11 volumes. Now the manga continues with its sequel through a new story and different protagonist, Mitaka Asa, a student who attends the same school as Denji.
