Chainsaw Man Manga Comes Back With a Bang
First, it's worth noting that the series returned yesterday (July 12, 2022) with chapter 98! Furthermore, editor Shihei Lin recently confirmed that the number of reads on the Shonen Jump Plus service surpassed 2.5 million in less than 24 hours!
On the other hand, author Fujimoto began publishing the Chainsaw Man manga in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in December 2018, finishing the first part in December 2020. By the way, it is also worth mentioning that later this year, 2022, we will have an anime of the work!
Now, how about checking out some spoilers for this epic return: First, in this return of the story, we meet a rather isolated girl named Mitaka. Following some incidents with her classmates involving a demon, she ended up making a pact with the Demon of War before dying!
In other words, something very similar to what happened with Denji. In any case, she harbors a tremendous hatred for demons, especially Chainsaw, and vows to kill him! Definitely a good start to the plot!
Synopsis
In short, the story follows Denji, a poor boy who decides to hunt demons to pay off the enormous debts his father left him. Denji has a dog who is also a demon named Pochita, who possesses chainsaws to do his work. However, Denji falls into a trap to assassinate him as part of a Yakuza contract with the demon. But Pochita comes to Denji's aid and joins him, becoming half-man, half-demon and acquiring Pochita's chainsaws. Thus, he gets involved in various troubles as he faces the challenges ahead.
