All this controversy began when the documentary about the anime "The Leveling of Solo Leveling" premiered on the platform, featuring an image of the character Beru, who first appears in chapter 105 of the manhwa. However, the first season of the anime ends long before that point, and fans on social media are convinced that this is perfect evidence of plans for a second season.

The inclusion of “Beru’s” character sheet is also likely part of the Solo Leveling production team’s approach to adding more content to the story, as producer Sota Furuhashi . When discussing the necessary changes to the manhwa, director Shunsuke Nakashige added this information:
There were characters that didn't appear in the webtoon. They were mentioned in the dialogue, but didn't appear in the artwork, so we'd ask, 'Well, what do they look like?'
Therefore, the anime team may already be considering the best way to tease their character and incorporate him into the story.
