The anime Daemons of the Shadow Realm ( Yomi no Tsugai ), an adaptation of Hiromu Arakawa 's manga , has released a new promotional video highlighting the music from the second half of the season. Additionally, the production released a new promotional image to mark the arrival of the next episodes, which premiere on July 4, 2026.

In the trailer, fans can hear a preview of the new opening theme, "Back Shot," performed by Masanori Otoda. The ending theme will be performed by Kei Sugawara with the song "Kujaku." The new songs will accompany the second cour of the series, which will continue its uninterrupted broadcast.

Secrets surrounding Yuru and Asa

The story follows Yuru, a young man who lives in an isolated mountain village with his twin sister, Asa. While he leads a peaceful life, Asa remains imprisoned in a cage, fulfilling a mysterious function for the community. Gradually, secrets involving the family, the village, and supernatural entities begin to surface.

The animation is produced by Bones Film, directed by Masahiro Ando. Noboru Takagi supervises the scripts, while Nobuhiro Arai handles the character design. Kenichiro Suehiro composed the soundtrack. The anime premiered in April 2026 and is still available via Crunchyroll.

Finally, the manga has been published since 2021 in Square Enix 's Monthly Shonen Gangan magazine . The work is also known for being created by Hiromu Arakawa , author of Fullmetal Alchemist and Silver Spoon .
