The anime adaptation of 's manga DANDADAN has been confirmed to premiere on the Netflix streaming platform . The anime is being animated by studio Science SARU (Heike Monogatari, Devilman: Crybaby).

Therefore, the anime DANDADAN will premiere in October 2024.
Fuuga Yamashiro (assistant director of Tatami Time Machine Blues) is directing the anime at Science SARU , and Hiroshi Seko ( Attack on Titan The Final Season , Chainsaw Man , Jujutsu Kaisen , Mob Psycho 100 ) is supervising and writing the series scripts. Composer Kensuke Ushio (Chainsaw Man, DEVILMAN crybaby , Liz and the Blue Bird) is creating the soundtrack. Naoyuki Onda (Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway, Berserk: The Golden Age Arc) is designing the characters, and Yoshimichi Kameda (Mob Psycho 100) is designing the aliens and supernatural entities.
Synopsis:
The story of Dandadan follows a nerd who faces spirits and aliens vying for his "family heirloom." And who better to help than his high school crush and a spiritual grandma?! Momo Ayase and Okarun disagree about the paranormal. But in this quest to prove who's wrong, secret passions and paranormal battles emerge! Momo befriends Okarun, a UFO fanatic at school. While Momo believes in spirits, Okarun thinks the opposite. To resolve their differences, they decide to visit a UFO hotspot and a haunted tunnel!
Tatsu serializes the manga in Shueisha's Shonen Jump+, and Shueisha will publish the 12th volume on December 4th.
