The Jump Festa '24 event revealed the main voice cast and confirmed the October 2024 premiere of the anime adaptation of the manga “Dandadan”, by Yukinobu Tatsu.
The anime features:
- Shion Wakayama as Momo Ayase
- Natsuki Hanae as Okarun
- Mayumi Tanaka as Turbo-Granny
- Kazuya Nakai as Alien Serpo
Synopsis
The story of Dandadan follows a nerd who battles spirits and aliens fighting over his "family jewel." And who better to help than his high school crush and a spiritual grandmother?! Momo Ayase and Okarun disagree about the paranormal. In their quest to prove who's wrong, secret passions and paranormal battles arise! Momo befriends Okarun, a UFO fanatic at school. While Momo believes in spirits, Okarun thinks otherwise. To solve the problem, they decide to visit a UFO hotspot and a haunted tunnel! So, a young love story, with aliens and strangely excited spirits, unfolds?

Fuuga Yamashiro (assistant director of Tatami Time Machine Blues) is directing the anime at Science SARU , and Hiroshi Seko ( Attack on Titan The Final Season , Chainsaw Man , Jujutsu Kaisen , Mob Psycho 100 ) is supervising and writing the series scripts. Composer Kensuke Ushio (Chainsaw Man, DEVILMAN crybaby , Liz and the Blue Bird ) is creating the soundtrack. Naoyuki Onda ( Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway , Berserk: The Golden Age Arc ) is designing the characters, and Yoshimichi Kameda (Mob Psycho 100) is designing the aliens and supernatural entities.
Additionally, Tatsu serializes the manga in Shueisha , and Shueisha will publish the 12th volume on December 4. Finally, the Dandadan no Jump Festa 2024 stage event will provide news about the anime, including the cast, on December 16.
