The Jump Festa '24 event revealed the main cast of voice actors and confirmed the October 2024 premiere of the anime adaptation of the manga “Dandadan”, by Yukinobu Tatsu.
The anime has:
- Shion Wakayama as Momo Ayase
- Natsuki Hanae as Okarun
- Mayumi Tanaka as Turbo-Granny
- Kazuya Nakai as Alien Serpo
Synopsis
The story of Dandadan follows a nerd who faces spirits and aliens vying for his “family jewel.” And who better to help than your high school crush and a spiritual grandma?! Momo Ayase and Okarun disagree about the paranormal. In this quest to prove who is wrong, secret passions and paranormal battles arise! Momo befriends Okarun, a UFO fanatic at school. While Momo believes in spirits, Okarun thinks the opposite. To solve it, they decide to visit a UFO hot spot and a haunted tunnel! In this way, a young love story emerges, with aliens and strangely excited spirits?

Fuuga Yamashiro (Assistant Director of Tatami Time Machine Blues) is directing the anime at Science SARU , and Hiroshi Seko ( Attack on Titan The Final Season , Chainsaw Man , Jujutsu Kaisen , Mob Psycho 100 ) is supervising and writing the series scripts. Composer Kensuke Ushio (Chainsaw Man, DEVILMAN crybaby , Liz and the Blue Bird ) is creating the soundtrack. Naoyuki Onda ( Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway , Berserk: The Golden Age Arc ) is designing the characters, and Yoshimichi Kameda (Mob Psycho 100) is designing the aliens and supernatural entities.
Furthermore, Tatsu is serializing the manga in Shueisha , and Shueisha will publish the 12th volume on December 4. Finally, the Dandadan stage event at Jump Festa 2024 will provide news about the anime, including the cast, on December 16.
