This news is a lot of nonsense, but now it's official, Wendel Bezerra, known by fans for playing the most charismatic character in the otaku/nerd world, will no longer dub Goku in the DVD version of Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods made by Paris Filmes.
With the DVD scheduled for release in August, Wendel Bezerra announced it personally on his Facebook , explaining that he had accepted to participate in the work and that he was supposed to record his part on June 9th, but was informed by the studio that “there would be no more time”.
In the statement, he says he didn't charge more than usual and is disappointed with the decision taken by those responsible. In addition to the DVD, Goku's new voice may also be present in future broadcasts of the film on cable and broadcast television.
Paris Filmes intended to use the same dub as the film, but the price requested by Diamond Films, the rights holder, was too high, and they ultimately opted for a redub, now done by Clone. It's worth noting that the film is available with the theatrical version dubbed on Netflix.
