Behaviour Interactive has announced a new collaboration between Dead by Daylight and Resident Evil, bringing back the 2v8 mode. The event takes place from February 10th to 25th and offers free access to characters from the Capcom franchise within the game.
- Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero has sold 5 million copies worldwide
- Nintendo Switch 2: Risk of shortages at launch
The main new feature is the possibility of matches with two killers and eight survivors, expanding the dynamics of multiplayer horror. In addition, the event adds new mechanics and items inspired by the Resident Evil universe, such as antidotes and healing herbs.
New mechanics and exclusive items in Dead by Daylight
During the event, supply chests may contain a universal antidote if Nemesis and Mastermind are in the same match. This item allows survivors to cure infections caused by the T-Virus and Uroboros, classic elements of the Capcom franchise.
Additionally, green and yellow herbs randomly appear on the map, providing healing to survivors. However, killers can destroy these herbs and gain a brief speed boost, making the game even more strategic.

New skins and classic Resident Evil map
The event also brings new visuals based on Resident Evil. Nemesis receives the Nemesis Origin Outfit, while Albert Wesker (Mastermind) gets the New Dawn outfit, inspired by his version in the Resident Evil 4 Remake.
Survivors Jill Valentine, Leon Kennedy, Ada Wong, and Rebecca Chambers also receive skins featuring iconic outfits from the franchise. Additionally, the Raccoon City Police Department map will be added to the event rotation, recreating one of the saga's most memorable settings.
Improvements to matchmaking and assassin scaling
To make the event more dynamic, Behaviour Interactive will implement AI-controlled bots to fill two survivor slots in each 2v8 mode lobby. This will reduce waiting times for those playing as the killer.
Players will be able to choose between the assassins Nemesis and Mastermind, as well as The Legion, an original character from Dead by Daylight. With these additions, the crossover between the franchises promises an intense and challenging experience for fans.
